God blew my socks off today
Okay, so I didn't have any on to begin with, but it's the thought of the thing. *Yay God!*
I've mentioned before that Hannah is going on a mission trip this summer--and she's been doing the typical fundraising, sending out a letter asking for prayer & support dollars. The money has been steadily coming in. Well today, a friend stopped by--someone who did not get one of Hannah's letters--with a $100 bill for Hannah's trip! I was blown away! She'd remembered that we'd mentioned the upcoming trip, had the means to give so she did!
I can't wait to tell Hannah the story! Especially since when I opened the mailbox today there were no return envelopes addressed to Hannah with the promise of funds enclosed. I figured this was a $0 day for the mission trip. Silly me.

Morning walk
Since we have a dog, a big dog, even though the weather is rainy & yuck, he needs to go for a walk. We're blessed to have a path nearby. This morning on our dreary, drippy walk, we met a crawdad. My dog walked right over him--thank goodness. But it was a little unexpected gift of creation, even though it was brown and "ugly," it brought back a host of memories from my childhood.
Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, I've opted out of facebook for a while. I might make it more permanent, but I'll need my hubby's help to do that.
So look for little blessings today, and every day.

How've I been lately?
I've been struggling, to be honest. But then my friend Patty posted this today...it perfectly encapsulates my feelings.
I relate to her blog, Flirting with Eternity a lot. If we aren't twins separated at birth (and I know we aren't) we are certainly kindred spirits. I am honored to call her friend.
